Children look up from their coloring books as members of Veterans for Peace pay a visit to the Duc Son Pagoda orphanage in Hue, Vietnam. The group toured Vietnam in April to learn about efforts to mitigate the suffering of the country's Agent Orange victims and others who have been injured or killed by bombs and land mines left over from the Vietnam War. The facility is currently home to 170 children. Relying solely on donations, the nuns who run the orphanage have sent 140 children to university or vocational school since they opened its doors in 1987. "Only love can make the world warmer and more peaceful," its director says. April 22, 2013.
