Veterans for Peace member Chris Jaminson checks out a newly-built cow shed in A Luoi, Vietnam. The "Orange Cow" program, sponsored by the Australia-based Vietnamese Victims of Agent Orange Trust, raises money to purchase breeding cows for families who have been affected by Agent Orange exposure. Cows in the valley frequently die during the wet winter months because they lack proper shelter, according to villagers. Veterans for Peace toured Vietnam in April to learn about efforts to mitigate the suffering of the country's Agent Orange victims and people who have been injured by bombs and land mines left over from the war.
