A group of individual detention cells is seen through a small opening in a wooden cell door at Tuol Sleng prison in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.   An estimated 17,000 people passed through the prison under the Khmer Rouge from 1975 from 1979. They were generally tortured and interrogated for two to three months, made to confess to various crimes against the regime, then murdered in the Killing Fields. Onky a handful of people survived Tuol Sleng. March 1, 2012.
