A young Afghan farmer is held briefly for questioning by Marines from Company L, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, after a Taliban attack near Marjah, Afghanistan. The farmer said he saw three men running away after the attack, but the Marines decided not to go after them. "There's really nothing to be gained by chasing three guys who may or may not be Taliban and who are 800 meters away, " said 1st Lt. Carl Quist, 30, of Annandale, Va. The farmer was let go, and the Marines returned to their patrol base an hour's march away. March 10, 2010. DREW BROWN/STARS AND STRIPES
