Land that has been cleared by de-mining teams waits for cultivation or development in Quang Tri province, Vietnam. Quang Tri, which borders the former Demilitarized Zone that once divided North and South Vietnam, was the most heavily bombed province during the Vietnam War. According to experts of Project RENEW, one of three organizations funding the removal of unexploded ordnance in the area, more than 7,000 people in Quang Tri have been killed or maimed by bombs and land mines since the war ended in 1975.
