Three girls seem to be enjoying themselves as they take a break from riding new bicycles at a school in the rural highlands district of A Luoi in central Vietnam. In the past two years, OConnor has given nearly 150 bicycles to poor children in the mostly ethnic minority district so they can get to school easier. "I just feel like the United States hasn’t done enough to help these people since the war,” said OConnor, 64, of Sioux Falls, S.D., who served in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971. “And I just feel like I took more than I gave, so I’m giving back now.” April 8, 2015
