An Iraqi poice commander hauls out a captured insurgent from a police station in the town of Aitha, in northern Iraq. U.S. officers with 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment say that an offer of amnesty under a U.S.-backed reconciliation program has convinced some Sunni insurgent leaders to lay down their arms and provide valuable intelligence on others who refuse to stop fighting.
