The American War Cemetery and Memorial in Manila, Philippines contains the graves of 17,206 servicemen who lost their lives in World War II. It is the largest U.S. war cemetery in the Pacific, and also includes the graves of 570 Filipino soldiers, along with those from a handful of other allied nations. Most of those buried here were killed during the Philippines and New Guinea campaigns. June 10, 2011.
