Individual isolation cells line a dim corridor inside the former Hoa Lo prison in Hanoi, Vietnam. Known as the "Hanoi Hilton" to U.S. pilots held there after being shot down during the Vietnam War, most of the structure was demolished after the conflict ended. The museum focuses primarily on the brutal conditions under which Vietnamese political prisoners were held during the French colonial era. Oct. 27, 2012.
