Spc. Daniel Myers, a soldier with Company C, 2nd Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment jumps from the top of a mud wall in the village of Jelawar, in the Arghandab valley near Kandahar, Afghanistan. Because of the threat of mines, the soldiers rarely take established trails, so a typical patrol in the Arghandab consists of scrambling over one mud wall after another. April 4, 2010.
